Here are some tips from my personal experiences of design classroom escape games!

  • Use invisible ink on review puzzles. The students can’t read the message until they’ve put the whole puzzle together!

  • Use hybrid digital and physical clues. This helps the escape room allow no students without a task!

  • Use lock boxes with the key/code hidden somewhere in the room! I usually put the puzzle pieces in these boxes!

  • Create an ambiance— a spooky slide on the projector and background music go a long way!
